The Brilliant Side of Life

Someone saw fit to award me with this:

And by someone I mean the hottest Indian Democrat on the planet. Not only is she hot and completely unapologetic about her political views which is an admirable quality, but she also makes wonderful cocktails and shares them with us every Friday. She has an incredible sense of organization and fashion that could potentially make every other mother hate her because she is who we want to be. She is the one walking into the store with two perfect young children who are saying things like “yes mommy” and “no thank you mommy” while she struts her hot-skinny ass through the store with her perfectly dressed hair and chic (read: sheek) wrap paired with designer jeans. Well, at least this is how I picture her to be… my details and delusions might be a little off because I’m a bit starry eyed when I read her blog. Regardless, many many thanks my dearest! Or as they say in the Hindi language… “Shukriya!” ( I Googled it so I have no idea if that’s right)

Now I pass on the brilliance to other blogs that deserve the award more than mine… they actually post more often and speak with intelligence.

Not in any particular order:

Wiping up Snot – She deserves this award because there is no one who can tell a story like she can… I love reading her posts and then rereading them because they are that entertaining. Oh, and she lets me dream about having sex with her hot husband. There is something to be said about a woman who allows that.

My UK-BFF – She is deserving because in the UK they use the word “brilliant” for everything and I totally love that. And also, she said that my husband’s name is Spanish for “Chelsea loving wanker” which made me pee my pants. (Chelsea = UK Football team… you know, soccer) Oh, and because she loves purses as much as I do. That’s a plus.

Lambs by the Ocean - Because the only thing I could muster up when I opened her blog was “Wow”. Pure talent. Amazing photography and wonderful quips to accompany each photo.

LingLing - If you have ever seen this blog you will not need an explanation as to why I have chosen to forward the brilliance award. If you are new to it, read it, all of it. Then you will know. I had followed the story from the beginning and then lost touch. When I re-found the link a few weeks ago I was happy to read the good news and updates and am looking forward to the new part of their journey.

Here-in-Idaho – Because she is one of a kind. One-Of-A-Kind. I am not nearly as original or as smart as she is and won’t even try to be because I will only look like a moron, I mean more so than I usually do. And she is the bestest picture captioner evah! You should fear her though… like you fear God I mean. Because she and her children could potentially take over the world someday and you may have to worship them.

There you go, happy awarding folks. And yes, today is much, much lower on the suckage scale than yesterday. In fact… check this out…

Thanks to a fellow Freecycler, today I have come into possession of 12 pairs of gently used shoes, sizes 11-12 which are perfect for DramaBoy. (2 pair are not pictured because both boys are wearing them. DramaBoy says they make him fast.) Did you read that? TWELVE PAIRS OF SHOES! All of them are in mint condition. FOR FREE!!!! And the best part is I really like them all! There is even a pair of winter boots in there which we needed.

I guess karma has paid me back for all of the great stuff I have given away on Freecycle in the last few weeks.
