Generic peanut butter sucks. April 23, 2008

That is really the only thing I have to say at the moment. This is a good thing!

For some reason hubs went with a generic brand recently, instead of getting our usual Jif™. Now, I’m stuck with a huge jar of fully hydrogenated peanut butter that barely has any taste, let alone real peanuts.

Dammit. I’m a choosy mom who would have chosen Jif™.

Oh, and the dog is soooooo grounded, til he is like, 18. Bastard.

For the P-nut butter, mix 1/2 cup with a 1/2 cup of Cream cheese, 1/4 cup pureed Carrots (you don’t taste) and 6 tablespoons of chocolate syrup. Mix all together and enjoy with apples. I’m telling you it’s delish.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cif

‘Cif’ used to be called ‘Jif’ here in the UK. It was a cleaning product. Random eh?! Apparently they changed the name so that people in Europe could pronounce the word… much like Olay use to be Ulay… I’m sure you care loads about that! Sorry, I really don’t know where that crap came from. *shrugs*

I was going to comment anyway… it was something along the lines of “Update this shit soon biatch!” but you have so it’s all ok :D

I’ll go now :?

JIF!!! Are you kiddin me?? The ONLY brand of peanut butter even worth eating is Peter Pan. When they took Peter Pan off the market for a year because it had random jars with samonilla I.thouhgt.I.was.going.to.die.
I had to switch to Jif and it was the most waxy, tasteless poor excuse for peanut better I had ever eaten.. I can only imagine what the generic brand tastes like.
And for the poster that said put pureed carrots in peanut butter - youre just plain insane. Why would you want to poison something as delicious as peanut butter with GAG!!! A VEGETABLE!!!!

I’m with you on the peanut butter…leave the generic stuff for the dog! My dog, Rocky, loved it when I would put peanut butter inside his toys and he would have to work to get to it. I guess that’s better than tossing it or having to eat it yourself!
