The man with the death wish.

I was at Wal-mart a few weeks ago (if I had a nickel for every story that began with those words…) and as I was parking my car in the space I glanced over to my left and spied this…

Now, the picture quality is poor because I took this with my camera phone. What you are looking at is a dark, primer-grey, pick-up truck with two large Confederate flags attached to either side of the bed of the truck. There was a large steel guard-type thing across the whole front of the truck and I can only assume that there was probably some type of gun rack inside of the truck. But it’s just a guess.

You are probably thinking, “Yeah? So? I see trucks like this from time to time. No big deal.”

Well, there is some irony that I found quite humorous and yet incredibly uncomfortable.

What I did not mention is that the area of Chicago I live in is probably 60-70% Black. This particular Wal-Mart is in area that is predominately black as well.

My first thought when I saw this truck was “Oh muh gawd, somebody gonna die!!!” 

Not only did this person have large Confederate flags flying proudly from the atypical redneck vehicle perpetuating an ugly stereotype, but he must have balls the size of Texas as well.
